Michele Grimson

Michele Grimson is a Clonmel born artist currently living in Dublin working as a Graphic Designer/Illustrator. She studied Fine Art at Crawford College of Art & Design in Cork, graduated from there in 1994 with an Honours Diploma in Painting and Art History. She continued to paint and has held Group & Solo Exhibitions in Cork, Galway, Tipperary and Dublin. Her imagery is painted in a semi-realistic style with a very rich choice of colours for her palette. She attempts to convey human emotion through visual metaphors, hoping to create an atmosphere between the viewer and the painting. Recently Michelle has used her style on illustrations, working with oil paint and watercolours. In 2002 Food and Wine commissioned her to illustrate various ideas for their magazine.
